Closed petition Change the law so charities can exist for the political purpose of changing law

Registered charities, including those campaigning on animal experiments, such as the RSPCA, Animal Free Research & PETA UK, cannot exist for a political purpose directed at securing a change in the law, such as to overturn 1959 3Rs legislation for 'humane experimental technique on animals'.

More details

Experiments on dogs, & other animals, are today widely reported to be entirely failing the search for human treatments & cures. The 1986 Animals (Scientific Procedures) Act has been surpassed by the 2003 Human Genome Project & Trans-Species Modelling Theory, explaining the human medical failure of animal tests. The Government must change the law to allow charities to exist for the purpose of securing a change in the law, such as revoking legislation that enables and requires animal experiments.
