Rejected petition Stop the free benefits to the asylum seekers
Make it less appealing to come to the UK by not giving benefits to asylum seekers that we don't give to our our nationals, people who have paid into the system and get very little help

People who lived in the UK all their lives and have paid into the system via National Insurance have to fight for very little help even ex service persons get no housing yet we give accommodation and weekly allowance to asylum seekers making this country a very appealing place to come. Making it less appealing by stopping the benefits and putting the money back into the system for those who have lived here all their lives and paid National Insurance

We understand that you are concerned about benefits for asylum seekers, but we're not sure if you just want the Government to stop paying the £39.63 a week asylum seekers receive, or also to stop housing asylum seekers. Asylum seekers can ask for somewhere to live, but do not receive benefits to pay for their housing.
