Closed petition Extended Theory Test expiry dates by 6 months

Learner drivers who lost valuable time during the Covid restrictions, unable to take a Practical driving test, now face a huge back log of tests, have been given no extension on the expiry date of Theory test and will have to resit Theory tests before they can book a practical test, months later.

People have lost time through no fault of their own, the results last 2 years in which in normal circumstances this would be enough to pass practical test. However they have lost a year of lessons and tests due to Covid restrictions and lockdowns. With waiting times of several months to book a practical test, some theory tests will past expiry date and will need to be re sat.
