Rejected petition Create a formal school policy that doesn’t allow teachers to shout at pupils

I want the government to determine what they think is an adequate use of volume and anger when a teacher shouts at a pupil . Teachers are shouting at pupils loud enough and angry enough to cause them unnecessary alarm , upset & distress which isn’t acceptable on any level and needs addressing

More details

The reason I want this is because firstly it’s happened to my own children frequently these last couple of weeks on 2 occasions teachers have shouted at my son in a manner that causes the teacher to apologise afterwards. This will be happening in schools all over the country and it’s not on by any standards . Teachers face a hard task within there jobs but it doesn’t give them the right to act this way to our children . So I want it recognising and all teachers must abide by the code of conduct

This petition was rejected

Why was this petition rejected?

It’s about something that the UK Government or Parliament is not directly responsible for.

We can't accept your petition because the UK Government and Parliament aren't responsible for the issue you raise. The Government aren't responsible for deciding on the volume that teachers speak at.

We could accept a petition that calls for teacher standards to include a requirement that they don't raise their voice at pupils, if that's what you'd like to see happen.

We only reject petitions that don’t meet the petition standards.
