Closed petition Require schools to have active threat lockdown policies

I would like the Government to make it a legal requirement for all schools to have active threat/ shooter policies that can be taught to students.

I would like the Government to take action on this. I think it's extremely important to realise that in the event that somebody armed entered a school building, many students wouldn't know how to protect themselves. With over half a million people in the UK holding a firearm or shotgun licence, children and young people should be taught how to keep themselves safe.
