The purpose of this is to enable consumers to make informed choices about the food they eat and the products they purchase.
The label should simply read ‘Made in…’ and be clearly visible.
This would enable consumers to avoid products from autocratic and morally dubious countries and to avoid food products from countries with dubious food hygiene or a record of animal cruelty.
