The Government to set up a parliamentary select committee to investigate the substantial increase in veterinary costs over recent years.

Some increases are several 100s percent higher than inflation. The select committee should also investigate whether there is a correlation between the raise in costs and large Veterinary Firms taking over many small practices. Many pet owners are often faced with the agonizing choice between the cost of treatment or having their much loved pet put to sleep.
