Rejected petition Raise minimum wage for under 18s

we want the government to increase the minimum wage for under 18s as we have the same responsibilities as people older. our minimum wage is currently only £4.62 while people over 18 is nearly double. How is this fair?

The government are the only people with enough power to do so. I do not understand why we should get payed less just for our ages even if we have the same experience. Getting payed less than over 18s gives business the chance to exploit there workers and still only have to pay them less than £5 a hour!
