Closed Require people offering cosmetic injections have a relevant qualification

We would like the Government to make it illegal for people to perform cosmetic injections without having a relevant qualification, such as a NMC, GDC or GMC.

Currently there are no restrictions on who can purchase dermal filler and inject this. If performed incorrectly, these procedures can result in complications such as burning, scarring, vascular occlusion, transmissible diseases (using needles), infection and blindness.

It’s for this reason that it’s imperative that the Government regulate the industry to protect the health and safety of the public.
