Closed Government to Give More Power to SFO to Investigate All Financial Institutions

The Financial Ombudsman has no powers to investigate complex complaints involving more than one party, particularly when Insurance Companies/Building Societies/Banks have failed claims due to incorrect input by several parties. A new law is required to enable the Serious Fraud Office to investigate.

The Government to give the SFO unlimited power to investigate/access all records from all parties.

All Financial Institutions/Insurance Companies/Building Societies/Banks and experts they use such as Land/Engineers who may provide incorrect input. Also other independent bodies where there may be a conflict of interests and who carry some weight.

We believe it is in the greater interests of the general public to enable the SFO to investigate these types of complaints and take appropriate action.
