It has been widely reported that the Government expects not to reclaim £4.3 billion of Covid payments that were claimed fraudulently. We believe the Government should make every effort to recoup this money and ensure anyone who committed fraud is brought to justice.
This is taxpayer's money, and writing off these funds would be unacceptable.
