Closed petition Introduce double green lines for in front of on-street EV charge points

We would like to see the introduction of double green lines in front of on-street electric charge points, with penalties for improper parking in front of these charge points comparable to those of parking on double yellow lines.

To encourage the uptake of electric vehicles, we need to overcome any real problems that are a barrier to the uptake.

One of the biggest concerns for people resistant to making the change is access to electric vehicle charging points, particularly for people who will rely on on-street charge points.

There is one ongoing problem that needs to be urgently addressed. Non-plug in vehicles blocking access to charge points. This is an issue that has plagued electric vehicle drivers for years.
