Closed Give tenants the right to terminate short term tenancies if repairs not made

The Government should give all tenants the right to terminate their short term tenancies if the landlord repeatedly ignores reasonable requests for repairs to be made.

This should apply regardless of whether the landlord has a rent guarantor in place or not to cover the shortfall in rent. Tenants should be able to vacate without a two months’ notice period provided their rent is up to date.
