Closed Remove the 'luxury car tax' for cars worth over £40,000

The Government should remove the additional £310 supplement car owners have to pay for the first five years after buying a car worth over £40,000.

The Pandemic and the Semiconductor shortage has heavily Impacted the Automotive Business sector, and reduced supply of economy cars because they are less profitable.

This means that many people are spending more on cars, and this supplemental tax is putting additional financial pressure of middle income households. This tax needs to be removed.
