We’re waiting for a new Petitions Committee

Petitions had to stop because of the recent general election. Once a new Petitions Committee is set up by the House of Commons, petitions will start again.

Closed petition Fund a national screening programme to identify gynaecological abnormalities

We believe too many women do not have gynaecological abnormalities adequately diagnosed or treated. This could be improved by introduce a national screening programme to identify gynaecological abnormalities, so abnormalities can be correctly identified, and correct treatment prescribed.

More details

I was diagnosed with Uterine Sarcoma after bleeding heavily for 3 years, resulting in a hysterectomy. I have spoken to many other women suffering from all types of gynaecological problems and who have had similar experiences.

I believe time and resources are being wasted, when women could be given regular screening similar to smear tests to identify gynaecological issues so these can be treated quickly and effectively.
