Closed Increase maximum prison sentences further for animal cruelty in the UK

On Tuesday 29th June 2021 the Animal Welfare (Sentencing) Act came into effect which increased the maximum sentencing for Animal Abuse to 5 years. This is not enough and should be increased so that it acts as a deterrent towards individuals who currently carry out animal abuse/plan to.
