Closed Election process for most senior police officers.

To reconsider the selection process in respect of the the most senior police officer of each police force to be elected, rather than appointed, as this could instill a level of faith and trust within British communities.

Community policing is crucial and a selection process of the most senior police officers through an elected system would be fairer, more transparent and would rebuild trust within all communities and would also provide a level of support that would help the British people feel they are invested within a fair and proportionate process.
