Closed Suspend VAT on road fuels to reduce fuel costs

The Government should suspend VAT on road fuels to reduce costs to the consumer. While fuel prices are so high it is unfair that the cost is further increased by the application of VAT, which means the Government receives more tax revenue when fuel prices increase.

The cost of fuel is contributing to rises in the cost of transporting goods and inflation and hurting living standards due to increasing the cost of living. Cut the tax.
