Link all benefit payments to the minimum wage, including universal credit, pensions etc.

Each benefit would be payable at a percentage of the average minimum wage.

For example the state pension would be 50% of the average minimum wage i.e. 40 hours per week x £6.31 x 52 weeks per year = £13,125 £13,125 x 50% = £6,562.50 or £126.20 per week.

A link such as this would mean we were all truly in it together as everyone's income would be linked to the minimum wage.
