Rejected petition Create safe dog leash laws in the UK

Dog leash laws need to have a place within the UK. We need to create safe, considerate and respectful environments for our dogs and owners.
To reduce to attacks, unsafe interactions, stressful and triggering scenarios for our dogs. Those in training, reactive, rescued and puppy’s deserve this.

More details

I got attacked by two off leash dogs whilst walking with my muzzled, leashed and on harness dog. Whilst their owner showed complete disregard and no efforts to help. I shared the story with our online following only to receive an overwhelming amount of responses sharing the same experiences.
Off leash dogs should not be allowed to approach on leash dogs - in any area.
Owners should respect another owners request to keep dogs away and leash them.
Introduce muzzle requirements where applicable.

This petition was rejected

Why was this petition rejected?

It’s not clear what the petition is asking the UK Government or Parliament to do.

Petitions need to call on the Government or Parliament to take a specific action.

We understand that you're concerned about the risks of dogs not being on the lead, but we're not sure exactly what you'd like the Government or Parliament to do.

We have published the following petition, which you might like to sign:

Require dogs to be kept on a lead at all times when in public: https://petition.parliament.uk/petitions/599677

If you want the Government to do something different to the above petition you could start a new petition explaining clearly what you would like the Government or Parliament to do.

We only reject petitions that don’t meet the petition standards.
