Rejected petition Provide a Covid Recovery Pass for children aged 5-11
Allow covid recovery passes for children aged 5-11who have caught and recovered from Covid. This would be in line with passes available for those 12 years and over.
More details
Parents are having to pay out for tests and children are having to undergo unnecessary testing when they have already done so many to keep everyone safe in school.

Why was this petition rejected?
It’s not clear what the petition is asking the UK Government or Parliament to do.
We understand you would like a form of pass to be provided to children who have had a confirmed case of Covid-19. There are currently no legal restrictions on services or venues members of the public, including children, can access based on their vaccination status. It is therefore not clear what it is you want this pass to be used for.
In any case, while entry to EU countries based on someone's recovery status is permitted, the current NHS Covid pass does not recognise a person's recovery status, no matter their age. This means the NHS Covid Pass would need to be expanded to include recovery status before children could be included. We already have a petition open which is calling for this to happen, and which you might like to sign:
