Closed Add Vehicle Trades (523) occupations to Shortage Occupations List

There's a severe shortage of motor vehicle workers in the UK, affecting businesses, customers and the economy.

We need motor industry Technicians, Painters and Panel Beaters on the Shortage Occupations List.

This would make it easier for employers to recruit qualified/skilled staff.

Adding these occupations should help alleviate employment shortages in this sector, making it easier for businesses to recruit skilled and qualified foreign workers.

Many workshops and bodyshops are, or have, experienced difficulties when recruiting and retaining staff. Leading to:

• Lost income
• Increased staff costs & labour costs to customers
• More transient staff
• Employing less competent staff
