Closed Reduce VAT For Hair And Beauty Salons to 5%

We want the Government to reduce VAT for Hair and Beauty Salons to 5%. Hair and Beauty Salons are close contact services that rely on appointments, and are daily being hit by cancellations as a result of covid-19.

The current rate of VAT, combined with increased costs of energy, staff and goods needed to run salons, is making some businesses unprofitable.

Small business like mine are JUST over the threshold could lose their business if VAT is not reduced!

The Government should implement a temporary VAT cut for Hair and Beauty Salons, to help them survive through the current situation.
