Petition Include migraine on the list of medical exemptions for free prescriptions.
Migraine is not currently included on the valid list of medical exemptions in the UK so that prescriptions can be sought without an additional charge.
More details
1 in 7 people suffer with migraine, a genetic neurological condition which is the leading cause of disability in women of childbearing age. Migraine can be as disabling than diabetes which is covered on the Medex list. Prescriptions for migraine sufferers can cost extortionate amounts of money every month if they are having to pay for acute medications, prophylaxis medications and medications to deal with secondary conditions associated with migraine.

What are Westminster Hall debates?
Westminster Hall is the second Chamber of the House of Commons.
Westminster Hall debates give MPs an opportunity to raise local or national issues and receive a response from a government minister. Any MP can take part in a Westminster Hall debate.
Debates in Westminster Hall take place on ‘general debate' motions expressed in neutral terms. These motions are worded ‘That this House has considered [a specific matter]'. This means that Westminster Hall debates don’t end in a vote on a particular action or decision.
