Closed petition Limit details of non-molestation orders being shared with perpetrators

Closed on

I am asking for only summary points to be given to a perpetrator of domestic abuse when being served with a non-molestation order, to help to minimise more harm or suffering for the victim

This can help to ensure that the perpetrator is not given all the impacts of their actions, as this can leave the victim more vulnerable and a target for further abuse.

When a person has suffered domestic abuse and needs legal protection, a non-molestation order is required, this is a very detailed process, where all information is documented then given to the court and also to the perpetrator, this in itself can leave a victim feeling vulnerable due to exposing their feelings and impacts, which are then shared with the very person who committed this crime and could give fresh opportunities to repeat their actions or indeed increase the severity of them.
