We’re waiting for a new Petitions Committee

Petitions had to stop because of the recent general election. Once a new Petitions Committee is set up by the House of Commons, petitions will start again.

Closed petition Do not implement EU speed limiter requirements in the UK

We call on the government to not require speed limiters for new cars. The EU have made a ruling that speed limiters should be introduced for all new cars in 2022, which the UK Government has agreed to implement.

More details

We believe the speed limiters undermine the driver’s judgment and freedom of choice. Due to the fact that data will be collected relating to the geographical positioning of the car, we believe this would infringe on issues of privacy.
