Closed petition Require all educational establishments to have CCTV outside toilets

All educational establishments should be required by law to have CCTV outside of their toilets unless it is a stand-alone toilet i.e. disabled toilets. This includes nurseries, schools, universities and libraries.

When it comes to sexual assault, a lot of people are afraid to speak out. For those that do choose to speak out, there is often an issue of evidence. Toilets cannot have CCTV in for privacy reasons, this means, if a sexual offence or assault was to happen, there may be major evidence issues. However, if CCTV is outside of the toilets, it should be easier to prosecute the suspect. This will surely increase safety and decrease crime.
