Closed petition Review accessibility to primary care and face to face appointments with GPs
Closed on
The Government should review the accessibility of primary care, to look into how patients’ appointment needs are being met by GP surgeries. Many surgeries will only enable telephone consultations, many of which patients cannot access promptly.
The current system risks care being missed, potentially causing unnecessary suffering.
Certain NHS services endorse:
“Commitment to providing high quality NHS medical care for individuals and families”
"People feel cared for… safe, reassured and involved… confident we are making a difference”
“We put patients… at the heart of everything we do”. “We empower our patients”. “We listen, act, communicate clearly. We do what we say we will”. “We strive to deliver the best care we can”. “We challenge complacency”
We believe these values are not apparent when trying to access ‘the front door’ of the NHS.
