We’re waiting for a new Petitions Committee

Petitions had to stop because of the recent general election. Once a new Petitions Committee is set up by the House of Commons, petitions will start again.

Closed petition Bar non-domiciled UK residents from standing for election as MPs

We want the Government to stop UK residents who have non-domiciled status from standing for election as an MP.

More details

Those with non-domicile status do not pay UK taxes on money earned abroad. As MPs are well paid, we do not believe they should be able to benefit from non-domiciled status.
