Closed petition Support unaccompanied children to enter UK through the Homes for Ukraine scheme

The Homes for Ukraine scheme does not currently support children under the age of 18 to enter the UK if they are trying to flee “unaccompanied”. There is a moral obligation to provide sanctuary for such children. There should be a clear simple process to ensure that they are helped.

More details

We are one of many families who would welcome such children with open arms, but are unable as the current system will now allow it.

What are Westminster Hall debates?

Westminster Hall is the second Chamber of the House of Commons.

Westminster Hall debates give MPs an opportunity to raise local or national issues and receive a response from a government minister. Any MP can take part in a Westminster Hall debate.

Debates in Westminster Hall take place on ‘general debate' motions expressed in neutral terms. These motions are worded ‘That this House has considered [a specific matter]'.
