Rejected petition To have Fibromyalgia finally classed as a disability

To make Fibromyalgia a disability in the eyes of the law. It is an all consuming illness that robs people of a life and yet people suffering with this terrible condition continually have to justify their illness

More details

Because people suffer with this condition have no say. They are dismissed by medical professionals as being a hypochondriac or told yhat we just have to 'live with it'. You would not treat a cancer patient in this way. Albeit we won't die from it our lives are essentially over. We also want our ailment to be recognised in the workplace and certainly with the current system of benefits where it is pot luck as to whomever is making decisions
