Closed petition Require local authorities replace roadside grass with wild flowers

We want roadside grass, including verges and roundabouts, to be replaced with wild flower 'meadows'. The Government should pass legislation to require local authorities to implement this policy.

More details

This proposal should be beneficial to the environment and wildlife, require less mowing once established, look better, and require less use of harmful weedkillers.

It also should not impact on driver safety as should only grow 1 to 2 feet high and not impact upon a driver's view.
