We’re waiting for a new Petitions Committee

Petitions had to stop because of the recent general election. Once a new Petitions Committee is set up by the House of Commons, petitions will start again.

Closed petition Anyone aged 17 or below can go to a safe place without parental consent

Change the law so anyone under the age of 18 can go to a place they feel safe and understood without parental consent. To get away from danger, stress, toxic family members, neglect and violence. Give these young people space away from a household that they feel unsafe at.

More details

I just want the law to change for young people and others in a similar situation, so anyone can escape a toxic family or household no matter their age. So they feel safe and welcomed, and not judged, looked down on or bullied.
