Recognise PCSOs with a Long Service Medal like any other frontline service

Recognise PCSO’s for long service. They work front line of policing in a “non confrontational” role yet still face the danger of verbal and physical assault often with life changing injuries yet there appears to be no recognition of this like there is for other frontline workers. PCSOs have become an integral part of policing being the visible presence on the streets, building relationships with the communities and partnerships. They engage with offenders and help to make the streets feel safe.
