Introduce 5 flexible days of leave for schoolchildren each year during term time, which children and parents can plan at their convenience. Potentially leveraging tools developed during lockdown such as remote or recorded lessons.

School holidays are mostly around the same time creating high demand in the travel industry and resulting in very expensive vacations for families. Though leave can be authorised, practically it’s often denied. The current system also does not reflect professional life for which students should be being prepared, where individuals plan their own leave and ensure their work is not affected.
