This petition was rejected
Why was this petition rejected?
It’s not clear what the petition is asking the UK Government or Parliament to do.
Petitions need to call on the Government or Parliament to take a specific action. We're not sure exactly what you'd like the Government or Parliament to do.
We understand you're concerned about the potential impacts of the UK-Australia free trade deal on agri-food standards in the UK. However, the agreement does not create new permissions for agri-food imports into the UK from Australia.
You can read the advice the Government has received from the independent Trade and Agriculture Commission on the agreement's potential impact on UK legal protections for animal health and environmental protections here:

We only reject petitions that don’t meet the petition standards.
