All households especially those of the retired and the semi-retired are "being hit hard" by spiralling bills, and the government has promised "significant support to the British people" to help them get by.
Residential Parks are purpose-built for the older population, who are struggling with a good quality of life and need as much support as possible for dealing with increased prices.
There should be no ambiguity in ensuring that all park home residents are able to get the £400 energy grant.

Further funding will be available to provide equivalent support of £400 for energy bills for the 1% of households who will not be reached through the Energy Bills Support Scheme.
On 29 July the Government announced a new provision to deliver equivalent support this winter for energy bills to residents of park homes and other households which will not benefit from the Energy Bills Support Scheme discount. An announcement with details on how and when these households across Great Britain can access this support will be made this Autumn.

About the Energy Prices Bill
The Energy Prices Bill will give the Government the power to implement its Energy Price Guarantee scheme for domestic consumers, and support for businesses and other non-domestic properties.
Households in the UK are due to receive £400 of support under the Energy Bill Support Scheme. The Energy Prices Bill includes a requirement that landlords and other property managers (such as residential park home owners) have to pass the financial support they receive on behalf of their residents and tenants under this Scheme on to them.
The Energy Prices Bill also gives the Government powers to introduce its Energy Price Guarantee, which will reduce the unit cost of electricity and gas so that a typical household in Great Britain pays, on average, around £2,500 a year on their energy bill, from 1 October 2022.
The Bill also includes powers to enable the Government to introduce its Energy Bill Relief Scheme, under which the Government will provide financial assistance on energy bills for all eligible non-domestic customers, including businesses, charities and public sector organisations.

Energy support grants for those living in a park, mobile or care home, or off the electricity grid
On Monday 27 February the Government made £400 grants to help with energy bills available to households without a direct relationship to an electricity supplier, such as those living in park homes and care homes.

- Apply for energy bill support if you do not get it automatically
Households without a direct relationship to an electricity supplier can now apply via a secure online portal to receive the support as a one-off, non-repayable lump sum.
For those without online access, a dedicated customer helpline is available to assist eligible customers. The contact centre helpline can be reached on 0808 175 3287 for applicants in Great Britain, or 0808 175 3894 for applicants in Northern Ireland.
The date that an eligible household will receive support will depend on when the application is made and when the payment can be processed by the relevant local authority.
