Rejected petition Make all unpaid internships illegal as they exploit people and their talents

I want the Government to protect people from exploitation whereby companies use graduates to do work that is unpaid with no job guaranteed for them once the "internship" is completed.

Lots of people including myself have experienced this so much and it has to stop. Free labour and exploitation must be stopped once and for all. People need money to live and they deserve to be paid a wage that supports that whether it is part-time or full-time. The minimum term for internships should be 3 months especially as they are designed to provide experience. There needs to be more help to gain experience whilst doing paid work. People should not be suffering at the hands of others.
