I want the UK government to legalize the use of non-lethal weapons, such as pepper spray, for self-defense. This could be done with full background checks and a license to carry.

Today, a friend of mine was harassed on the street by two men driving past, who had also been seen trying to get two much younger girls into their car. This happened in broad daylight - had it been dark, it may have escalated to dangerous levels. We, the people, have the right to feel safe on the streets, whether during the day or at night. Criminals will break the law to harm law-abiding citizens. Law-abiding citizens have only their bodies to defend themselves with. This needs to change.
