We are asking for two things:

1) that all government policy and strategy are published in easy read format.

2) that public consultations on policy and strategy are in easy read format as soon as they are published.

We want the government to do this so that people with a learning disability are aware of policies or strategies affecting them. This is so they can take part and help make decisions.

Having information in easy read format will help people with a learning disability engage as citizens. It will also support people to give feedback on important issues that affect them.
