Closed petition Fund annual health checks for all adults

We want the Government to put in place funding for annual health checks for all adults, to help identify health conditions at an early stage.

People are encouraged to have regular dental check-ups and eye tests, but there are no regular checks for a person's wider health.

Many health conditions could be identified earlier, or better monitored and treated, with regular health checks. If patients are invited once yearly to a health check, healthcare practitioners can check overall health, and also advise on how to avoid health risks, such as obesity.

Prevention is better than cure, but we as a nation are not grasping this. A simple health check could save many lives and we believe would be cost effective to the NHS.
