Closed petition Apply to join the Single Market and Customs Union at the earliest opportunity

The Government should reverse what seems clearly to be a highly damaging Brexit and move immediately to talks with the EU regarding material changes to our labour, regulatory and immigration controls, and our customs provisions, in line with other members of the Single Market and Customs Union.

Brexit has had the chance to deliver benefit to the UK. Since inception it seems clear it has done nothing other than deliver disbenefit to the UK. Our currency has lost significant value, the cost of living has gone through the roof, our labour markets are sparse with opportunities unfulfilled and our international reputation is in the gutter. It is time for us to return to the fold and begin to repair the horrific, self-inflicted damage we have caused.
