Rejected petition Ban Electronic Waterboarding

Havana Syndrome is caused by electronic devices used to modify, cower or intimidate a victim. Pulsed electromagnetic energy assaults are a type of torture that the unscrupulous can use against their victims to achieve an aim the Law would otherwise not grant them. Such devices should be banned.

More details

Faced with the cost of living crisis such technology could be easily deployed outside of the Law against citizens whether tenants that a landlord wants out or the security apparatus when they want to intimidate peaceful protesters. It is imperative that these devices and their use be banned regardless of any consideration of necessity, proportionality, justification or temporary damage and the users punished, rather than exist for years and only be recognised after their use has been borne out.
