Closed Amend visa restrictions on under 14s from working as sportspersons

Many visas prevent the holder from playing as a sportsperson, which includes anyone providing services as a sportsperson, or playing or coaching in any capacity, at a professional or semi-professional level of sport (whether paid or unpaid).

This prevents children from taking part in sport and reducing competitiveness. We like the clause to be changed so that under 14s can play sport at any level or academy, provided it is unpaid. This would open up more opportunities to children in families who have come to the UK.
