Closed Increase NHS funding to provide more Plasma Donation Centres across England

Over 17,000 lives each year are saved as a direct result of Plasma Donations, and the demand is increasing each year.

Plasma can assist in treating over 50 different conditions and some people relay on regular donations of plasma.

Despite Plasma Donations literally saving thousands of lives each year, there are just 3 Donation Centres across England - Birmingham, Reading, Twickenham. Meaning there's huge areas of the country where people are willing to help donate Plasma, but they have no means to do so due to the distances in travelling to a Donation Centre.

This situation was made worse with the closure of a Donation Centre in Telford, and most recently a reduction in the opening hours of the Birmingham Centre.
