Closed petition Take action to make essential energy (oil/gas/petrol/electric) more affordable

We want the Government to take action, such as the below, to bring down the cost of essential energy commodities:

- Price caps

- Tax reductions

- Easily accessible grants for the most vulnerable

- Subsidies for home/small business use

Loans do not solve the root cause of the issue so is a not long term solution

The prices of these commodities are creating a real threat to many households from the financial strain they are imposing. People are fearing cold winters with no heating, debt and bankruptcy as a result.

Leaving behind the most vulnerable in societies and creating more vulnerable households ends up worsening many societal challenges and costing the society and government more in the end.

This also impacts also the health, transport, and education sectors; just to name a few.
