Closed petition Ban vaping/e-cigs in all indoor settings

Ban vaping / e-cigs in all indoor public and workplace settings in line with smoking regulations by 2023.

More details

Smoking was quite rightly banned from all indoor settings throughout the UK but now we face a new wave of smoke coming from e-cigs / vaping.

While some say it is an improvement on smoking nicotine it is not right that we now have to inhale this alternative.

Whist a lot of employers have banned them in the workplace and also some shops it is still not 'the norm' and it needs to be. All indoor settings need to ban vaping / e-cigs. Those who wish to vape must do so outside.

Vaping among under-18s debated by MPs

On Tuesday 2 May 2023, Dr Neil Hudson MP led a Westminster Hall debate in Parliament on vaping among under-18s.

What are Westminster Hall debates?

Westminster Hall is the second Chamber of the House of Commons.

Westminster Hall debates give MPs an opportunity to raise local or national issues and receive a response from a government minister. Any MP can take part in a Westminster Hall debate.

Debates in Westminster Hall take place on ‘general debate' motions expressed in neutral terms. These motions are worded ‘That this House has considered [a specific matter]'. This means that Westminster debates don’t end in a vote on a particular action or decision.
