Rejected petition Change the law with regard to 'collective bargaining', for pay/conditions.
A change in law to allow non union members to have a say and/or be balloted if an organisation wants to change terms and conditions and/or make a pay offer.
More details
The current system of 'collective bargaining' is unfair to those that don't want to be members of a trade union. It appears that a minority of workers are making decisions for the majority. Good or bad, it's unfair if we don't all get a say. To make matters worse, a Trade Union isn't even obliged to ballot it's members, and can reject an offer without anyone having a say!

Why was this petition rejected?
It’s not clear what the petition is asking the UK Government or Parliament to do.
Petitions need to call on the Government or Parliament to take a specific action.
We're not sure exactly what you'd like the Government or Parliament to do. We're not sure whether you want all employers to be required to negotiate and ballot employees regardless of union status, or only for those employers that have recognised trade unions and who already undertake collective bargaining.
You could start a new petition explaining clearly what you would like the Government or Parliament to do.
We only reject petitions that don’t meet the petition standards.
