Closed petition Introduce mandatory neutering for domestic cats and dogs.
Closed on
We ask the Government to make neutering mandatory for domestic cats and dogs, except for animals belonging to licensed breeders.
We believe we have reached the point where there are too many dogs and cats in rescue kennels, on the streets and in the country more generally. And these numbers are increasing as people decide they can no longer afford their pets, and give them up.
We hope this will have the effect of reducing the number of dogs and cats in rescue shelters and on the streets. We now need, along with compulsory microchipping, compulsory neutering for both cats and dogs.
