Require potential employers to respond with a hiring decision to all job candidates.

Businesses must also give a hiring decision date to all interviewing candidates, which can only be changed by notifying all candidates. Once a hiring decision is made all candidates must be notified of their outcome.

Ghosting of candidates has become commonplace in the jobs market. It can affect the mental health of job seekers who put time into writing a CV, filling in application forms and potentially attending interviews. Job seekers should be treated with common courtesy. In this age of automated emails, it really isn't a big ask! These measures would help humanise the process of applying for a job.
